Ministry Team

Rector: Rev Gus Robinson

Gus has been the Rector of Arawang since 2019. He is married to Christy and together they have four beautiful and lively kids. Gus studied teaching in Armidale, NSW. While at uni he met Christy and also became convinced that Jesus really lived, died and rose again, and that the reasons to have faith in him made sense and were too compelling to ignore. He taught in Armidale and Scotland before heading to SMBC. Since then, he has served as an Anglican minister in the Armidale Diocese and our nation’s capital. He is passionate about seeing people come to trust Jesus Christ and to grow in Him as people. He is currently studying at Covenant Theological Seminary in the USA where is researching pastoral ministry health.

Deacon: Rev Peter Rose OAM

Peter has been a vocational deacon since 2004. Since then, he has served the Lord Jesus for over a decade as a chaplain in Australia’s Parliament House, at the same time caring for a congregation at Duntroon. He has been with the Arawang Parish since December 2016.
As a civil engineer, Peter spent almost 30 years in the Australian Army in engineering appointments and on the General Staff. He then supported a post-graduate research centre of the University of New South Wales and later led World Vision’s ministry in the ACT and southern NSW. After completing theological studies then a Master’s degree in creative writing he was ordained to support the Anglican Bishop to the Defence Force as his chaplain.
