…is a community of imperfect people who meet on Sundays to celebrate who God is, what He has done in His Son Jesus and the promises He has made for his people.
Rector: The Rev’d Gus Robinson
Gus has been the Rector of Arawang since November 2019. He is married to Christy and together they have four beautiful and lively kids. Gus studied teaching in Armidale, NSW – actually with the aim of being teacher and farmer. He soon met Christy and becoming convinced of the historicity of Jesus and the logical reasons for faith in him, became a Christian. He taught in Armidale and Scotland before heading to Sydney Missionary and Bible College in 2007. Since then, he has served as an Anglican minister in Inverell, Tenterfield and Armidale and is now excited to be in our nation’s capital. He is passionate about seeing people come to trust Jesus Christ and to grow in Him as people. He is currently studying at Covenant Theological Seminary where is is looking at vulnerability in Christian leadership, preaching and counselling. You might see him on his bike, watching or refereeing Rugby (sadly his playing days are well gone) and he’s also the biggest bloke you’ll ever see with a violin in his hand.
